How We Work
A process designed to reduce friction and build trust
Here's exactly how we work together, what you can expect, and what we need from you.
The Process
-
What happens:
→ You explain where you are and what inflection point you're facing
→ We assess whether we're the right fit (we’re selective — less than a handful of clients at a time)
→ We discuss potential engagement models and next steps
What we’re evaluating:→ Are you at a genuine inflection point where we can add value?
→ Do you have the data and decision authority we need to be effective?
→ Is there personal/professional chemistry?
What you should evaluate:→ Do they understand my business and challenges?
→ Have they been through what I'm going through?
→ Do I trust them with strategic decisions?
Outcome: Either we schedule a deeper discovery, or we refer you to someone better suited.
-
What happens:
→ 2–3 deep strategic sessions (90 minutes each)
→ Review financials, roadmap, operations, capital structure
→ Identify the single milestone that unlocks next-stage growth
→ Map your strategic options (raise, optimise, exit, expand)
What we need from you:→ Financial data (P&L, cash flow, unit economics)
→ Current roadmap and team structure
→ Access to co-founder/CFO for data questions
→ 4–6 hours of your time over two weeks
Deliverable: Inflection Point Thesis (3–5 pages)→ Where you are
→ What inflection point you're facing
→ Strategic options and recommended path
→ What needs to happen in next 6-12 months
Outcome: We decide together whether to proceed with full engagement.
-
What happens:
→ We design the specific engagement model that fits your needs
→ Clear scope, timeline, deliverables, and cost
→ Formal engagement letter
Engagement Options:

-
What the working relationship looks like:
For Capital Advisory (Growth or M&A):
→ Intense frequent strategic sessions for first month
→ Daily or Weekly sessions after that
→ Ad-hoc support for investor/buyer meetings
→ Direct access via email/WhatsApp for urgent decisions
→ Warm introductions rolled out regularly
For Fractional Scale Executive:
→ 2–3 days per week embedded with your team
→ Weekly leadership team meetings
→ Direct ownership of specific initiatives (roadmap, ops, partnerships)
→ Monthly board prep and strategic planning
→ Slack/email access for daily questions
For Board Advisory:
→ Quarterly board meetings (2–3 hours)
→ Monthly strategic sessions (60–90 minutes)
→ Ad-hoc email/call support between meetings
→ Network introductions as relevant
-
Every engagement has clear milestones:
Capital Advisory Milestones
→ Inflection point thesis and capital strategy defined
→ Investment narrative and pitch deck complete
→ Investor introductions underway, first meetings scheduled
→ Term sheets received, closing process
M&A Advisory Milestones:
→ M&A timing assessment and strategic positioning complete
→ Buyer landscape mapped, DD prep underway
→ Strategic buyer introductions made
→ Management presentations, LOI negotiations
Fractional Scale Executive Milestones:
→ Inflection point defined, operating model designed
→ Roadmap simplified, key processes implemented
→ Founder time freed 50%+, metrics improving
→ Permanent hire made or function transition complete
At each milestone, we review:
→ What's working and what needs to change
→ Are we on track for desired outcome?
→ Should we extend, transition, or conclude?
What We Need From You
-
→ You can make decisions (or have co-founder/board buy-in)
→ We’re not effective if we’re presenting recommendations that sit for weeks
→ Best clients: CEO / founder or direct report with CEO trust
-
→ Financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
→ Unit economics by customer segment or product
→ Current roadmap, team org chart, key vendor contracts
→ Fundraising history (past decks, term sheets, cap table)
We don't need perfect data — but we need transparency.
-
Your time commitment depends on engagement type:
→ Capital advisory: 4–6 hours/week during active phase (+ team)
→ Fractional Scale Executive: 6–10 hours/week (meetings, decisions, reviews)
→ Board advisory: 2–4 hours/month
→ Project-based: Highly project dependent, 2–4 hours/week at a minimum
-
We’re very responsive (24-hour email turnaround - usually same-day, + WhatsApp, phone). We need similar responsiveness from you when strategic decisions are time-sensitive.
-
Best engagements: Founders who want someone to pressure-test assumptions and challenge strategic thinking.
If you want a "yes person," we’re not the right advisor.
What Sets Us Apart
Direct Engagement
You work directly with an operator, not a layered team.
We keep the client base deliberately small so you have direct access and momentum on the work that matters.
Operator Credibility
I've built and exited a fintech (Manigo), been part of a scaled unicorn as VP Product (Moniepoint), and managed institutional investment portfolios (Sarasin, Altana Wealth).
I've sat in your chair — not just advised from the outside.
Institutional Network Access
15+ years across UK, DACH, and international markets create relationships most advisors cannot replicate:
Switzerland banking networks; DACH alumni ecosystem; Growth equity and debt provider relationships; Strategic buyers and partnership contacts
Equity + Debt Expertise
Most advisors specialize in equity. We bridge both — growth equity fundraising and debt structuring.

The best way to see if we're a fit is a short conversation.
We'll discuss:
→ Where you are and what inflection point you're facing
→ Whether we’re the right advisor for your situation
→ Potential engagement models and next steps
No sales pitch. No obligation. Just an honest conversation.
